On a remarkably hot day in September two kindred souls said their vows in the gorgeous sanctuary of the First United Methodist Church in Iowa City. The day dawned clear, hot and muggy which turned to storms by mid-afternoon, although this did not put a damper any of the fun of the day. From getting ready to the party bus shenanigans to the bouquet toss, this was truly a day of fun, laughter and love. Their bridal party was full of spunk and so many great memories were made!!
I met Cody and Chelsey last fall for their engagement session at Kent State Park in Tiffin and I loved the way their photos turned out. Meeting them last fall I knew they would be a wonderful couple to work with and that their chemistry was great both on camera and in real life!!
Chelsey's favorite part of the wedding day was the pastor's message to her and Cody: "The day you get married will be the day you love each other the least. Everyday forward you will grow in love together," I think this sentiment is so beautiful. Cody and Chelsey are an incredibly sweet couple with so much to look forward to as they begin their journey together. Cody's favorite part of the day was the first look and described it as "an intimate part in a hectic day. It took all the nerves away being able to see each other. She was stunning in the dress." I think it's safe to say first looks are always one of our favorite parts of the wedding day since they offer a chance to catch your breath in an otherwise whirlwind day (and we get to capture some amazing moments)!
Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Means!!
