Jay and Melissa met while in rehearsals for Norwegian Cruise Line’s Pride of America on what seemed to be a pretty ordinary day. Boy were they wrong. While these two started out with a simple "Hi, nice to meet you" and "It'll be great to work with you," they quickly found themselves gravitating towards one another at every group function. One cool summer night after a cast-outing, Melissa and Jay sat underneath the stars, feet dangling in the pool. That's when the magic happened--they both realized that the feeling of enjoying each other’s company was mutual. A few days later Jay mustered up the courage to ask Melissa out on a date to get fro-yo, and ever since, they have dated all over the world. From Hawaii to NYC, to Mexico and the Caribbean, the Grand Canyon and now Iowa, what these two enjoy the most is spending time with each other!
Melissa and Jay's wedding was a beautiful, down-to-earth, intimate day with so many wonderful moments with friends and family. We found ourselves getting swept away with the emotion and fun everyone was having. The ceremony included a reading from E.E. Cummings along with an interpretive dance from some of Melissa and Jay's close friends. We were blown away with how seamlessly they were able to blend the traditional with their own unique ideas to create this wonderful celebration of their love!
